Meet Crystal Gail Mangum. The North Carolina woman (lying whore), a 28-year-old college student/exotic dancer, last year claimed to have been sexually assaulted by a trio of Duke University students after she performed at an off-campus party attended by members of the school's lacrosse team. This afternoon, North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper announced that he was dropping all charges against the men, saying that there was "no credible evidence" against the "innocent" trio.

ok, well... i take back my statement then since i didnt read the article on what was found against her claims.

There was no evidence ever found to convict the 3 men, they where just presumed to be guilty, and the prosicuting attourney who had been workin gon the case is now in teh process of being disbarred, and has been fined for several infractions in the handling of evidence, falsifying of statements, and a couple others.

When they did the DNA testing on the girl, none of the DNA they sourced for her fingernails, person, vaginal area, even the multiple seman stains in her underwear (yes i said MULTIPLE seman stains) matched either of the three men convicted.

WHen they did the line up for her to pick who her attackers where. The only photos she was shown where of the Duke Lacrosse team.

And most importantly, the prosicuter was up for re-election during this time last year, and his main angle for his campaign was leaning tword fair and balanced legal treatment of the black comunity, and thats primarily who he focused on...the black vote. No better way to get the black vote, then blame a bunch of rich white tuppies for raping a black girl just trying to make an "honest buck" by being a whore.

Really though, after several different seman stains showed up in her underwear, none of which matched the accused, the case should ahve been dropped. But the prosicuter persued it heavily, and forced the issue.



Now im not saying a rape didnt happen, and im not saying these 3 arent involved somehow. But they didnt rape her directly, and they shouldent have been sitting in jail with such piss poor (read: non exsistant) evidence.

Thanks, idiot. Being accused of rape is also brutal for the innocent victim. These guys have had the past year of their lives completely ruined, they've been prosecuted in the court of public opinion and had their names tarnished for the rest of their lives because this lying slut made up her stories. Falsely accusing people of rape is nothing to be joked about and she should now be charged and prosecuted.

What she and other women have done has forever ruined the credibility of ALL rape victims. More people now are going to automatically wonder what REALLY happened instead of giving the "victim" the benefit of the doubt. When there is absolutely ZERO evidence connecting the accused players and the DA says "we're certain no attack took place" and calls the players "innocent" I think it's pretty clear that nothing happened. The charges weren't dropped over a technicality, they were dropped because there was no evidence at all to back up her rape claim. She flat out lied and made up her numerous stories.

I've never been in this situation but I know a guy who was and I saw what he went thru and it upset me enough that I wanted to kill the bitch for him! Any woman that does this deserves to be locked up in jail and suffer the same punishment that the guy would had be been found guilty.

I once had a girl I dated for a few weeks file a restraining order against me 1 1/2 months after I decided to stop seeing her. I hadn't had any contact with her, hadn't seen her, etc. and one day out of the blue I get a call from a detective asking me questions about her. Turns out she'd done the same thing to 2 other guys and I was lucky number 3. :rolleyes: Just shows that women can make up nearly any story they want and almost always get away with it unpunished while making the mans life a living hell.

By the way, I don't need to lighten up, I'm doing just fine thank you. I just got back into town earlier today after working for a week at the southern coast, I just watched 2 hours of drag racing on ESPN2 and now I'm relaxing by listening to some music and working on my comp.

Did anybody watch 60 Minutes tonight? They interviewed all 3 of the innocent players. Like one of them said, his name will forever be associated with a rape and the word innocent might be included too. But even after he dies he'll always be remembered as one of the three rape suspects. Their names are forever stained because some idiot woman falsely accused them of something they did not do.

The answer is not to treat them with kid gloves now though. It's just like the teacher sex cases. Almost without exception the male teachers get harsh sentences and the women get a slap on the wrist. There are exceptions where female teachers have been given tough sentences (which is what they deserve) but those are few and far between, especially when compared side by side with male cases with similar charges. Gender shouldn't be a factor in sentencing and women should be given just as rough of punishment for doing crimes.

I couldn't agree more Niceguy. For the record I never called Corn an Idiot I only said he spoke like one. The system is overloaded with enough criminals as it is. There is no way someone who basically tells a lie is going to do years in jail and pay hefty fines etc.

Would The Mep love to see people who accuse the police of things they didn't do prosecuted? Sure thats human nature. However The Mep understands that they aren't going to do years in jail or pay any type of fine for what they have done.

Also there is a real problem in this country with the mentally ill. These people need to be treated to better fit into normal life. The trend as of late is to just let them hang. I've used plenty of common sense, something you seem to not be using.
