Does anybody have any recomendations of GPS units that mount on your bike? I own a SV and the speed is way off. so I want one that shows speed also.

I have been hearing really good reviews on the MIO c310X
Fry's has them on sale for $189

In case you want to just fix your speedometer error:
Speedo Healer (http://www.oregonsportbike.com/forum/www.speedohealer.com)
They run about $75 and it is SIMPLE to install. Their website has an online calculator which can factor in gearing changes, etc and it gets it pretty damn close (within 1-2 mph @ 100 mph). I put one on my Busa and it was well worth the investment.
Remember that if the speedo is off, the odometer is going to be way off as well... meaning your miles will read higher than you're putting on the bike. It might make a difference when it comes time to resell... It may not sound like much until you consider that if you're speedo says you are doing 100 and you are doing 85, that is 15%. So when your bikes odometer shows 10K miles, it'll really have more like 8500.

I've got one of these and it's the best damn $200 I've ever spent! I bought mine at CompUSA during their day after Thanksgiving sale and I use it every day at work. I usually get dumped on a route I've never been on and trying to find 15 - 20 locations a day without it would be a nightmare. For the price it simply cannot be beat.

Well.. yes.. of course... but what do you need to know? You program it to compensate for an incorrect speedometer/odometer reading. It sends the corrected signal to your speedo/odometer so it reads correctly.
It plugs in between the speed sensor on the counter sprocket, and the speedo (mine was lacated on the left side under the plastic below the tank, near the frame.) You can mount the "box" under the seat or wherever. It is about 2" x 1 1/2" x 3/4". There are complete instructions included, as well as their website.
You can get it in a "long" or "short" version. Long or short denotes the length of the "program cable" which has a small button on the end of it. The program cable is how you program the device, but ALSO has the "top speed recall" feature. By pressing the button, it sweeps the speedometer and holds it at the highest top speed achieved (since it was last reset). You reset the top speed recall by holding the button for more than 2 seconds. Its nifty feature, but costs about $10 more for the long (what I have and I mounted it on the triple clamp for easy top speed recalls).
I have a dealer that I can recommend through another forum website. He can get you a GREAT price nd he is an AWESOME guy!
You are welcome to check mine out at the next gathering... not anything fancy, but its slick and does exactly what its supposed to. For simply fixing an inaccurate speedo, it is THE way to go.
There is also another device called "The Yellow Box" which is designed o correct an inaccurate speedo. I haven't used one, but several Busa guys have and they all liked the SpeedoHealer alot better. They are priced very competitively.
I like the Top Speed Recall! Both eyes on the road (er.... I mean TRACK) when doing 175 and never have to look down to see how fast you went.... AND... the speed is actually RIGHT when you do look later.

+! on the speedo healer. I have one and would definitely get one on future bikes. It's also handy for dealing with gearing (sprocket) changes. I've tried several sprocket combinations and in each case I have reset the speedo healer so my speedo/odo is accurate. Very handy.
On the GPS front, which has other advantages, you might also check out TomTom (there is a new unit not currently available in the US), designed specifically for bikes (I'm also a GPS nut): http://www.tomtom.com/products/category.php?ID=1&Language=4http://www.tomtom.com/products/category.php?ID=1&Language=4
