rip off a whole bunch of other manufacturers designs, put in a crappy harley motor and you have an overweight, underpowered pig that wont last past its initial break in...

I didnt know V-twin motors could be DOHC...

I call BS

Interesting design - it get points for that. Especially the side mounted radiators. But $40K?!? Sorry, but for less than $20K I can outfit a smooth and dependable, well engineered jap bike with similar hardware, and kick that bike's a$$ up and down...

'Xactly! I'd say they haven't done their market research - unless their target audience is rich former Harley fans who have found the sport bike bug and like things with "exotic" - and I'm being generous on this point - pedagrees!

I saw this on another board I frequent... I'll say the same thing I did there:

Hmmm... looks too much like the bastard child result of a drunken three-way with Duc, a RC51 and a Gixxrrrr. Definitely a hung over regret the next morning.

Of course... I am an unashamed bike whore, therefore I'd still own it.

in the harley world V-rods are the most fun bikes there is.. I realize its not a sportbike but non the less still fun to scoot around town on..

Interesting "B" The V-Rod motor is fairly heavy and long that's why Buell hasn't used it in their line of bikes .
It's the most powerful stock Harley engine designed by porsche .
And yes Niceguy it is DOHC a thoroughly modern take on what most current Metric cruisers have been running for years now .

I would love to have an American sportbike! I think that every effort in trying to put HD back on the track without looking like a Buell is awesome! The price is stupid ridiculous but....

I wonder if the front wheel would shake if its idling..... ......
