View Full Version : Woot! It could happen to you, it happened to me!

About 10 days ago my wife and I stopped by to look at the Triumph Daytona 675. The dealer had a black one I really liked it but knew I needed to sell my bike first.

I sold my bike Sunday. Today we went back to see the black one again and DAMN:yell: , it had a sold sign on it. I wanted to buy the one in graphite instead :crazy: and she kept saying no let's wait. I asked the manager if they would get another:idunno: , he said maybe in two or three weeks.

My wife still said let's wait :blah-blah: . So here I am no bike and keeping the wife happy:bow: . When we got home she got on the phone to the credit union and applied for a loan. I didn't really understand why, after all, she was the one that wanted to wait:thinking: !

UnbeKnown to me:shhh: , she had gone back to the dealer after I first looked at the black Daytona and put money down to hold it so no one would be able to buy it! It was then she told me the sold sign was MY sold sign and the bike was mine and everybody at the dealer was in on it. I can imagine what they were saying behind my back :moon: :p :moon: :p :moon: .

:OMG: Holy Macaroni and salad! At first, I didn't believe her, but then she pulled out a reciept showing that she placed a down payment on the bike! I was sooo suprised! Anyway, tomorrow we'll be picking up the bike. :7cycle: :victory-sign: Woot!

I will never forget Mikes face, when I told him I was going to get him an R1... It had always been his dream, and I was helping to make it come true. THATS love right thar!!! :thumbup:

That's an awesome surprise!!! Congrats... Triumph makes a couple of bikes, including the 675, that I'd love to put in my garage!!! :rad:

when i bought my bike a few weeks ago the guy wanted me to come back in a cpl of days to get it. now that aint right, you get this machine with 1 mile on it and they want you to wait. UH UH i told him, how about i go get some lunch take a nice walk and you get it filled up, charged up and i get it before you close. he had to check but i got it. hope you get what i got out of my first ride on my first brand new bike ever
