i just took my duc out for the first time today... gotta say, i love that thing! sure it beats the hell out of me, and i needed to ice my wrists after getting off... but it is SO worth it! mirrors are totally useless, clutch is impossibly hard, exhaust is hotter than a mofo, and i lost circulation in my hands... but who cares about that stuff, right? the thing rides like a razor... you just THINK about turning and it does it for you. the torque is awesome (though i learned a quick lesson about accelerating too hard coming out of a turn... broke the rear end loose... pucker!), and i love how easy it accelerates! i'm really glad i didnt settle with the 748, because this is so far superior... you cant even compare the two! anyone who thought i made a mistake in buying this bike (which i know there are a few of you) should have seen the grin on my face for the last 4 hours.. i'm still picking the bugs out of my teeth! this was definitely money well spent... and if anyone gets an oppurtunity to ride one of these tempermental bikes, TAKE THAT CHANCE! you wont regret it, trust me.
and its been named "the beast". it seems appropriate lol

02 ninja 500... it still got the job done, but i had to shift every 5 seconds... it was definitely time for an upgrade after almost 2yrs

Sounds like a mean bike! Maybe resetting the suspension would help........ MAN that's a sweet looking ride! And the mirrors aren't totally useless......... they have turn signals in them:lol:

good point about the turn signals... plus having the mirrors keeps me legal, and i sort of like the signals being on the mirrors, i think it looks cleaner. i currently have the suspension set to the standard recommendations, but i think those are meant for someone much heavier than 125... so i'm going to ride it a couple more times and see how i like it, then decide if i want to soften it up at all. i know i'm feeling the effects today, but then again, i'm a big wuss haha

yes it has a full termignoni exhaust (over $2k... thank god the previous owner paid for that one...) which includes a new chip, actually... that exhaust sounds awesome though :)
