Test Drove A Ducati Today...

Long story short I was asked to do a mechanical inspection on an '01 Ducati 750. It was bought at auction and the buyer requested it. Well, since I was the only one around who knew anything about bikes, I insisted that they let me go home to get my gear. (I only live 5 min away) Well my boss wouldnt let me so I ended up riding this darn thing in the rain in my street clothes wearing an Arai helmet that was certified to Snell standards from 1975! Oh and did I mention that it had no face shield... :wtf: Suffice it to say my cheeks were puckered the whole time... I concluded, with my limited knowledge of V-twins that the motor started and ran, the clutch, brakes and transmission worked okay and that other than needing an oil change, everything seemed okay...

Just thought you all would like to hear the highlight of my day! :yes:
