Hey All,
I'm new to the forum but not to riding. I moved up here from Arizona in October and am looking to get a bike again. I got rid of my last bike ('99 ninja) a while back and am really looking forward to getting anoter bike and doing some canyon carving up here. Currently, I'm living in the Tanasbourne area (border of Hillsboro and Beaverton). I look forward to talking with everyone and hopefully getting together for some rides. Take care.

Sounds good. I'm starting to look right now and am constantly checking craigslist and the local shops. I'm hoping to have one by the beginning of March...just in time for good weather.

The Tanasbourne Starbucks is ground zero for tons of group rides starting in about a month. I'm sure you knew tha
What kind of bike are you looking for? Kris has a pristine 06 R1, 3k miles and priced very fair or if a 600 is more to your likeing I know of a few including an 04 R6 that's a super clean one owner with 4k miles and has probably never seen WOT. It's a steal for what he's asking and he's not advertising it. Post up what your looking for and maybe someone around here knows of something.
BTW, Howdy neighbor. I'm just down the road from you at TV hwy and 198th.

Howdy to you too! I'm looking for either a 900cc or 600cc class bike. I will probably get an older one seeing as I don't really want to spend more than $4k-$5k on it (preferably closer to the $4k region). Motosport Hillsboro has a '97 Honda 900RR for $4k that I'm eyeing. I'm kind of undecided on it though. It looks good but has almost 28,000 miles on it and I'm not sure if that's too much or not. Any thoughts?

Hello and welcome!
If you can find something on CL or some of the local message boards you'll do better than a dealership. Private parties don't worry about profit so much as dealerships do. I browse every now and again so if I see something cool I'll PM you.

Get a bike soon when you can!
This is about the best place in the US to ride year-round.
No tornado warnings, no hurricanes, etc. A very mild climate!
Plus, it's FUN! :D
