I was thinking about the RC when I got tires. I've put 13k on the RR and only rode slicks. On the RC I used to run DOTs in the cold months, and slicks in the summer. :idunno:

Well, the way things are at the time aren't so good in my unit. I have better luck being able to do what I would like to at other bases to include retrain into another career field. The things I'm looking at are going back to doing contract work, going active duty to cross train, transfer to the reserve at my base, transfer to another base. Unless things change a bit while I'm away.

Steve Hartman hosted CBS Sunday Morning today, and he re-ran one of my favorite stories he did, about a stone mason who is a perfectionist. Unbelievable work this guy does. (The mason, that is.) He did a three-story stone wall inside someone's house. More than a year to do it, each stone hand-picked, a fountain halfway up, just incredible. It looks like he didn't even need the mortar to hold each stone in place. I'm totally going to hire him when I move out of my mom's house.

I am watching motorcycle racing, eating a burrito, and my dog is staring at me. My burrito has jalapenos in it, so it would burn her mouth off if she stole it. She stole part of my dinner last night. I think I am going to start putting jalapenos/ hot sauce on everything...maybe she won't do that again.

if you can't tell I grew up having dogs.. we had two Dobey/German Shepperd mix (basically just like a rotwieler, but BIGGER!) they where around 140lbs. we basically had no back yard.

We bought some furniture yesterday on the way to the vineyards. Now we also gotta go and pick them up. Good deal saving a couple hundred at least from buying new stuff..If its clean,it functions and not butt ugly. I'm flexiable..lol.

Well, at least they don't talk back to you....we have big birds, Jasper, 6 y/o Blud and Gold Macaw (out 36" cock) :naughty: and Mango, 3 y/o Red Sided Eclectus...both males and they do screech as they would in the jungle...but fun to have all the same. I feel like we are in a zoo! You will see Jasper at our BBQ in August, he likes to come outside with us on his gym to visit.

They both talk, Mango imitates us in our kids voices....."mom....mom...mom" in my daughters voice and Jasper says things but not in full sentences...but he does say "love you...what..hello...Stephanie....."

We will have to leave them in our wills to our kids, because they can live over 80 years. :eek2:

'keets are like pin pricks, once you get up to the big guys like Macaws and Cockatoo's we're talking about the capability to crush bones. Most of the bigger birds know they can seriously injure a person and will only bite hard enough to get their point accross. Still there are those that have a bad attitude and will give it everything they have.

There are some big birds near our yard. We have giant, juicy caterpillars, and the birds know it. One of them already got eaten. I thought I would have to worry about Watson (the dog) messing with them, but she is actually keeping the birds away. They caterpillars already destroyed my tomato plant. Might as well let them chrysalis and become butterflies. I am trying to think of what I can do to keep them safe.

That which I couldn't ended up throwing out 60 (black large size) bags of stuff. Still got some stuff there. But I gave it to my son already...Like the Noritake China & my Wedgewood tea set ..All the breakable stuff..Even gave him my car that i had.3.0lt Nissan Cedric Gran Turisomo..I loved that car. But, didn't know anyone in Canada who I could ship it to. Then drive down from there. Then it could come into the country..Otherwise, they won't allow it here.

First off, its a Japanese model for Japan only. It had the comfies of life in it too..lol. Still figure Yurick will like it ..It was actually given to me. He can crack walnuts and filberts in his beak, and the bigger Hyacenth Macaw, has bigger jaws than him. They can crack the Macadama nuts, probably one of the hardest nuts to crack!

MAngo, on the hand is a fruit eater his beak is great for ripping fruit peels, and can rip your hand open when provoked...rare, but he does on occasion.
