I would like to join the Couger ride but i have my son this weekend and he does not like the busa at all.


My don't ever really want to have someone on the back of my bike. If something bad happened I would feel so bad, even if it wasn't my problem. Hell for that matter, I would have dropped the bike today if someone was on the bike when this car pulled right into in a hairpin corner. A**hole just looked at me and kept going. I hate people!!

Nothing wrong with that. I have a tendancy to overkill. That is do an overkill in studying etc. Perfectionist by birth I think. I try not to be .But, when I do something .I want to know from the ground up and anything that will help me stay up ! :ride: So thats why I think taking something beyond the basic's before going on a track is a good idea..But thats me..

yeah I hear ya...i have a lot of upgrades that need to be done on my betty. but with a baby on the way...I am finding it damn well impossible to justify a $800 exhaust system when the baby has no crib yet.

I'm not sure if its exactly the same, since I didn't get my permit in Oregon... BUT between the written test at Team Oregon and the permit test in Washington, it was almost exactly the same. Only difference was the written test at Team Oregon didn't show any pretty pictures. :haha:

Definitely red bull... They really only go over the parts that are on the exam. I think it was 50 questions?? True/False and multiple choice... I'm serious when I say that it was stupid easy. Definitely red bull... They really only go over the parts that are on the exam. I think it was 50 questions?? True/False and multiple choice... I'm serious when I say that it was stupid easy. If you fail, you pretty much weren't there... Know what I mean?? They do checks on learning a lot though, so as long as you have the red bull you'll be fine! :)

Oh well, thats why they say its basic..lol. And basically slow.. But useful. I found i had a bad habit of covering the brake..lol. So its good to know what bad habit I got and correct it where its safe ...How ya doing Yam's...Where did you guys go riding ?

Also the weaving was ok. Just maybe a little slow. But not under speed. Two people in front of me breaked and threw my timing off. That i just dropped speed and enjoyed the ride..lol..The got me on a small 125...It so sucks !

When i first started it up. It sounded like I don't know what. A moped ? IT was really quiet. It was a new experience for sure. ITs all good. It handle like a bicycle..lol. Too light. And with my long legs..It made Torque laugh at me..lol.

I can finally feel my hands again..lol. From the riding we did on the range today on a bike big enough to make me look HUGE ! It was a Honda 125..

But, its over and I'm happy..:yes: :ride: :haha:

I had the same bike when I went through the course... Ugh!! Friction zone? There was NONE on that bike!! And the throttle was hard to control... It had a "lets go no where" zone and a "lets go really fast" zone. LOL!!

The funniest thing that happened in my class was this guy that came in the first night in leathers who said he'd ridden before and for a long time blah blah blah.... But he dropped the Suzuki Dual Sport.... TWICE!! :wtf: :thinking: He definitely didn't look like he'd ridden before!!!! :haha: He got kicked out of the course right before the very end when he dropped it the second time.

:lol: OH and don't forget...SIPDE. Yam's you were right. I think I heard that more time than I heard my own heart beat...lol. Well, now I don't feel so bad..lol.. The bike would have been great for someone who was never on a bike and afraid to ride..Like the mother who failed yesterday.

I felt bad for her. She was just in a car wreck 2 weeks ago. Her daughter and her just signed up about 3 weeks prior to that. Who'd know .. Torque could tell you what he saw..Made him nervous for the rest of us. Made me frighten yesterday..lol..Her daughter dumped the bike on the tight cornering part of the test..Too slow.

Funny and not so funny was that they both were on the cruiser type bikes.Not one day on a bike and they pick cruiser's..lol.:haha: Because I wasn't pushy though I didn't want to end up with the worst of the lot..I just waited..Well, :haha: . I'm glad I took the course..I rated everything on the high end. ITs not like the instructors who supply the bikes..lol.:ride: They were all great.

The only thing I'd change next time would be to be more aggressive and they them what I want..:yes: They were thorough with all the basic's. They rock.
Our class had Darcy,John and Jody..I know there was another guy. But, we didn't have him. Loved Jody's helmet !..I gotta get me a pair of kitty ear's..:haha:

But, not stupid...Probably going to scoot just around near Kelly point park through Delta Park area.. Not much traffic but a good mix of gentle curves and basic's. Taking it easy..for now..:haha: :ride:

Actually I was thinking about that. I know the traffic is easy and there's a lot of slopes and curves to be had. I don't want to go where everyone else is.Not yet. I know I need to learn about stopping on hils etc. At least, I won't get run over there..lol. I'll let you know when I can make it out there.

I rode all over there back in 79' by bicycle.The one thought was wish I had a motorbike or motorcycle ! Those hills are not easy on a bike !:haha: And the I am familar with the roads there. Makes it easier. Problem is I still don't know alot of the roads here in Portland. At least not one's I would want to put on being a newbie. There only a couple safe place I know to ride around here by myself as it is. Why take chances.:thumbup:

Besides going over there. I 5 straight cut through Longview takes about 45 minutes ? I would take the old highway 30. Its just a bit too long of a ride..Still a nice ride if I wasn't such a newbie..lol.

:haha: Thanks, I am actually heading out hte door now to the dmv to get said license..lol.first. Then going on a scoot. Doing that small bike made me miss my bike so much..lol.:thumbup:
