Hey everyone,

My name is Nate, I am 20, and I live in Eugene, OR. I ride an 09 Ninja 250r, I am a new rider and just getting into the sport and I absolutely love it. I took the MSF course back in October shortly after returning from U.S. Army Military Police school in Missouri. In addition to being a National Guard soldier, I am a volunteer fire fighter here in eugene. I am also a full-time student at the University of Oregon. I do have two questions for everyone here:

1. I have been trying to look up on the internet about the legality of a fender eliminator for my Ninja. I seem to be getting a lot of mixed answers and would love to close the book on yes/no regarding legality.

2. Do any fellow 250r owners have a recomendation on a slip on exhaust? I would like a little better sound from my pipe.

Thanks,

Nate

Welcome to the mad house. There is a pretty good amount of us military folks around here...we're taking over. LOL

1.As long as you have turn signals and a plate light your good to go. Far as I know. There are enough LEO's on the board so maybe one will get back to you on that.

2. I don't have a clue

Lots of people will piss and moan the topic of the eliminator to death but as long as your plate is clearly visible, has a light on it and your blinkers are clearly visible you'll be fine. Try keep the OEM hardware if you can. I made an undertail for my ZX which was really easy (four bolts and everything falls off)... The 250 though is a little more difficult; theres a lot of speacially fit molded goodies up in there :) so I think aftermarket is going to be your best bet over making one.

:welcome: to the forum!

+1, but the National Guard's slogan is "Always Ready, Always There".

The Marine's slogan is "Semper fidelis".

P.S. Bike night is Thursdays at Pappa's Pizza on 11th around 7pm (if it isn't raining) and many of those that show up also are on www.eugenesportbike.com.

Fort Lost in the Effin' Woods. I still love that base. I'm sick. HAHAHA. Welcome on. I was in the Army Reserve for the last 8 years, and long story short, I'm in the IRR now until 2014; just got my orders. That's awesome about the 250R. That's the bike I'm going to get when Paul gets back from Afghanistan. :wave
