IMHO, Edmonson and the whole DMG deal need to get as far away from AMA racing as possible and we need to insist on a return to the Grand National format in which riders competed in roadracing, flattrack, and TTs in order to be crowned champion. We could have today's riders compete in roadracing, flattrack, TT, and Supermotard, and maybe even motocross/supercross - let's see who can really ride.

I think the roadracing and TT would be awesome! To me those are the roots of racing. I don't follow AMA racing or even GP racing as much as I'd like to... But if AMA had a roadracing or TT circuit I'd pay to go watch it instead of watch it on TV or youtube.

You start off on the right track and go a little askew. DMG needst o disappear yes. But you can't have racers racing all that other stuff too. Racing is HUGE now comparotively speaking, and the schedules for any one series now are larger than the entirety of all those others back in the day. Plus it segregates fans. A road race fan is not necessarily a flat track fan and vice versa.

DMG has done what AMA could not do in the entire time they owned it MAKE THE RACING ABOUT THE RACING!

AMA had way too many manufactures hands in there pockets hell Matt M 2008 world championship GSXR was worth over $150K of course he was going to win by 15 sec he (A) was a great rider. and (B) on a bike that made 50 more HP then the rest!

If anyone is going to dog BMG/AMA they apparently have not seen the bar banging seat of your pants racing it had become! this year was the best year of racing i have ever seen!
