Yesterday Eric and I were caging Ripplebrook, and we came upon an accident up past a couple of bridges.
It was a black bike, and there was a Jeep SUV sitting with one tire on the bike. We didn't see a rider, and we didn't experience any emergency vehicles, except for the policeman that was guiding traffic through.
Did anyone hear about this? I just hope the rider is ok.

There actually was an ambulance; assuming for the rider. It looked really bad. It was the corner just before that infamous bridge where I found that GSXR smashed into the gaurd rail early in the season and where Flytes back tire jumped about a foot... Its a really bad area. If you know the road well there's a 30mph decreasing radius before a small straight into the 25mph corner onto the last bridge before ripplebrook.
Like Kris said it didn't look good. The bike was muched up really bad and a Jeep was sitting on top of it. It looked as if the guy ran wide on the decreasing radius and dumped it into the front of the Jeep.

Well...I don't have the name of the rider but I did meet the guy who towed the jeep. The rider didn't make it and from what I heard may not have even know what happened.
Story goes:
Rider (HE) was doing 100+ (?) into a corner and couldn't hold it in his lane so he dove into the next lane to control the bike. Needless to say, the jeep was coming the other direction. The guy showed me pictures of the scene and you can tell the rider went well over into on coming traffic.
Still, it's a shame.

There is no way that corner can be made a 100+, maybe 65 for an above average rider and 70 for someone with race experience. The turn into the bridge has almost taken me out twice now so I get VERY respectful in that area.

Holy crap! Thats a shame :(
Yea the bike was under the passengers front tire and on the very edge of the road. So it went way wide and almost off the road completely.
That corner is a blind 30mph decreasing radius that gets me almost every time. You think you're through the corner and it pinches down right at the last moment...
RIP
