I am going to install a garmin on my 2009 R6. Just wondering where the power cord is so I can retro fit power to the device. Also, has anyone ever seen this done? Know of any particular bracket that I can buy instead of building one for the OEM triple tree?

Here's the setup I've got Charlie. It's the Zumo 550 which is one of the most motorcycle friendly gps units out there.

From my experience the most important things in setting up a gps unit are auxiliary power and a hard mount that's adjustable. That little guy in the last picture sealed the deal. I happen to have Vortex clipons that had room for the ball mount. I don't know if it would have worked with the stock ones. The power cord runs straight from the battery to the gps cradle.
I checked out the garmin.com and they have a mount that mike work.

I didn't see any options for auxiliary power to a battery from garmin, you might have to get car cig lighter charger and adapt it to work with the bike battery. Good luck to you, you'll love it once you get it all set up.

OK my stupid little friend, look a little bit closer there that's not a "W" go look. Imprinted in the clipon is "IV". You know what that means don't ya? It's a Roman numeral number 4. As in "four!!" Like you yell at the golf course when you shank a long iron near the green on the next fairway over where people are already playing.
I had those custom made to give me a reminder to let you know I'm playing through when I take you on turn 2 at PIR doing guess what. Dropping bow. Booyah! :moon:

really, a four, like if there were three of us going into turn T2, that is the place you would be, four..........
Listen shit nugget, if I were you, I would fire your "custom" clip on maker, because they saw you coming........they knew you weren't the sharpest tack in the box, and said, " hey look at that dumb R6Jon guy, let's sell him some custom clip ons, but we will just get on the phone, and get them from Woodcraft.........

he is definitlely dumb as rocks, and we will tell him it's a roman numeral four"
Who is your daddy:rad:
You have to admit, is is remarkable how much your "4 on your vortex" resembles the woodcraft logo
Come on Cal, you gonna intervene again, so you look even dumber than Jon, bring it bitches!

All right Ophra listen up quick, I'm going to lay it down thick as mud here.
Truth be told, the "IV" is from my custom clipon designer, and it doesn't really mean "four" like I said previously. Your photoshop Woodcraft design instruction logo adobe pdf's??? You've got some skills! I don't really know where you're going with that nor do I care.
No more turn two jokes, I actually made that part up. What I really had the logo made for as a reminder is, wait for it.....
4th gear. It's a reminder to myself, to not shift out of fourth gear to keep the same lap times as you. True story. Ask Chris he did the same at T-hill. I know that's hard to swallow but it's the truth, I'm sorry you had to hear it like this in front of your peers. *cough*
In your clipart/photoshop demonstration you put up there I can't help but notice the second tab marked Ecomomical. Reread that and tell me how much money you could have saved by switching to Geico for the turn 7-8 escapades. I'm not just saying but you know, still saying... :bring:

really, I thought four gears is all the yamaha peeps knew how to make, i custom ordered the special gearbox, with overdrive and reverse on the track bike, it makes is so much easier backing into my pits! Let me clear a few things up for you Alabama Hot Pocket, me and photoshop have never met, you know I am technologically challenged, so you listen here my "thick as fucking mud" friend, I am assuming you were referring to the remnants left in your shorts when I blew by your fast time at T hill on a bike I had never ridden, or a track I had never ridden..................soooooo ass nugget, a couple of your buddies "me included" have "A group" stickers, and you know, you cant have the T shirt just by pitting with us fast boys and girls, and bringing multiple cases of water. So where am I going with this jumpin jonny jack ass..............
