Curious, it says you are a marine, is that Marine or Marine reserve?

OK you can come and play. If you were a reservist I'd have to think twice, I don't need my riding habits known to my employer (one of my co-workers is a Maj in the reserves)

Kind of depends on how you like to ride. Most of us here like to keep it small and quick. Four of use were out last sunday for a blast to the coast and there were a couple of others who were looking for others to do some different rides with.

Best I can say is to hang out here, maybe meet a few people at a FNG or something and take it from there. Alot of the rides that we go on are arranged through PM's or on the phone. The few that are posted are an open invite and all skill levels are accepted. Of course you can always come up with your own plan and see if there are any takers to the festivities.

That pretty much sums up our day.

By popular demand once the weather improves I'll set up a ride down to Detroit Lake and back through Silver Falls. We did it last year and almost everyone enjoyed it.

Let me add that being older and having done the big group thing I understand the fun factor. I just got tired of the "medic" factor. Too many times I've been part of a large group where someone tanked because they got in over their head. For that very reason I, as well as many others, like to keep things small. Thats not to say we don't do larger rides, just that they aren't as often.

Oh, and if you're going to ride something I plan out you might want to practice your dirt road skillz.

Yea; you have to watch out for Flyte...

If he's leading a gravel road is inevitable...

No its his planning of roads. Though it could be said he swore the roads were ok.It turns out to be a bit rugged due to age, wear tear and lack of repairs. Its not off road just in need of some serious attention.

Don't believe her. I've lead rides that (no lie) included 2 to 3 miles of absolutel dirt roads.

R1 huh?
Last summer there was a Moped Gang riding in Oregon City, looked to be some 30+ Members, but I don't personally know any of them. Shouldn't be too hard to find them once the weather gets good again!

Oh... Welcome aboard!
