Master E,
I recently heard that you had fabricated a means of Syncronizing Carbs, and would like to know more about what you did.
Gauges are impractical, as there is just too much Needle Flutter, and Mercury Gauges are too toxic in general. There has been a recent upgrade to replace the Mercury with Ethelyne Glycol (Antifreeze), but I still don't like that much either.
If you have some fancy trick....
Do Tell!!!

I did make a fancy sync tool that worked quite well. But it was on the SV which only had two throttle bodies so It wont work for your bike. I added 8 inches of vacuum line off each of the of the throttle bodies so that syncing wasn't such a biatch. If you haven't done that yet you may want to. But basically it was about 8 feet of 1/8 inch clear tubing with the very middle marked. I then took the very middle of the tube and mounted it at the bottom of a yard stick and ran the two ends up the side. Once all that was done I added a little bit of premix for the weed eater into the line.
It was super sensitive but very affective. If one of the bodies were out of wack I just tweaked the adjuster screw until they would run at the same level. There were some Con's though. Because it was so super sensitve it did suck some of the premix up once when I blurped the throttle. I attempted making other ones that wouldn't be so sensitive but dropped roughly 30 bucks on a bunch of materials that soon ended up in my garbage can...
I gave up trying to make a nicer one and just broke down and bought one of these...
It works great so if you wana use it it'll cost ya some Drop Top

Hanging in there. About to go freeze my ass off at a "family day/mandatory fun day" over where Paul's working right now.... It's a BBQ. However. It's been pouring. And thunderstorming. All. Day. And since "it's clearing up," we're going to go soak ourselves. Thrilled. NOT!!
How about you?

CAD/Post Whooering as I always do. I think Saturday I have to spend some time "cleaning" I've gotta come into work and paint my new office then go home and edge/mow the yards, then pressure wash the winter mold/moss off of everything, then finally go for a ride with Kris that evening... I'm getting tired just thinking about it...

Mercury gauges work just fine for me!
A simple procedure too.

The one I posted a picture of is just like the mercury gauges you used to be able to get except its not mercury. You cant buy mercury gauges anymore I guess... I'm sure you could find them but places like Cycle Gear and Portland Motorcycle won't carry them...
