Problem with mass Email from Mike!!

Were I appreciate your well wishes I think I need to point out that you sent my email address to every one on your list. I AM NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS!! I requested not to “Receive Email from Other Members ” so for you to give out my email is VERY irresponsible. I would appreciate in the future for you NOT to send me any thing. I am not sending this in a PM because I think others need to realize what you have just done with there information. I don’t know you so this is not personal, I’m just not happy at all about this!!!:yell:

well my thoughts are this: no one knows which email addy is yours... and i for one dont see myself going through the emails going "ooo i wonder which one belongs to 'tictoc', the guy who i've never seen post before in my life... perhaps i will start emailing everyone one-by-one in the hopes i can find out which is him..." i wouldnt worry about it too much buddy. i doubt anyone cares what your email is and probably has no urge to use the address even if they had it.

Well I guess every one is welcome to there own opinion. Know this thou. Just because you have never seen me post before in your life does not mean that there aren’t a lot of people on here who know who I am (and or might not like me/ or want to stalk me JK). If you are ok with your information being given about than that is fine. I however am not.

The mass email he is refering to is the automatic "Happy holidays" email sent by the forum software. My appologies for that, and I will be sure to be more careful in the future.
I must say though, its a shame that was your very first post on this board, yet you have been a member since the middle of October. I wish that more members would post instead of lurking. Its nice to get to know everyone better.

Thanks you for the appologie. Just so you know you can still send out mass emails that do not list every ones email. I would recomend doing it this way in the future. I would have no problem with that. And just so every one knows, I am more concerned obout my friend on this list who it is very easy to tell what there email is.

I don’t think it was harsh at all. I registered here to see what was up with the new site. I had yet to post nor had I visited that often. So to have some one I don’t even know give out my information to all of there members is not cool at all with me. For me when I get an email from some one I don’t know and the first thing I see is a long list of names in the “to” section, it is a big concern to me. I think Mike fully understands were I was coming from and it was not meant to bash him at all. I know there are others out there like you (Niceguy) that deleted it before they realized what had happened to them. And I’m sure some of those feel the same way I do so I wanted to let them know just incase they cared. If not than there is no foul.

Just so everyone knows, I caught TicToc's message just after the first batch of emails were sent by the forum, and put a stop to it...thats why some of you got it and some didnt. Again, my sincere appologies to those that were upset by it, and no it wont happen again. Ive turned off the holiday email thingie in the admin control panel.
