I could not find the link (if there is one) and don't know the entire story as of yet....but one of my co-workers was in a very serious accident on Friday 8/29 Santiam Canyon area coming from Detroit. The few details that I do know is that there were 3 other motorcyclists involved, one was DOA a second suffered a broken back and sternum amongst other serious injuries. Todd (my co-worker) was coming down from Detroit coming into work, called to let us know he was going to be late and never showed. I'm not clear on how he became involved in the accident w/ the other 3 riders but he ended up being life flighted out and did have his left leg amputated from the knee down. As of today he is out of ICU but still is not aware of the leg amputation due to heavy medication / injuries. From what I understand he was wearing gear. I wanted to put this out there with best hopes for him to have a full recovery and thoughts with his family.
