Thats a loaded question. This is Oregon, it rains 9 months out of the year. It snows the other 3.

With a rain suit and heated riding gear it's possible to ride all winter save the odd freezing morning.

Cost of living isn't overly horrid, in and around Portland you're looking at $650+ for anything, further out (about 30 minutes w/o traffic) and you start getting down into the $500 range.

Welcome to the site. You ride dirt bikes as well???? (I.e. the picture?) If so, there are a few great places to ride up here though you have to travel to them, unlike Northern California, So. Oregon or even upstate New York (the snowmobile trail network is awesome there). Weather, as previously stated by others is a lot of rain but when it is nice, it is NICE. Hope you make here sometime and good luck.

My sister just moved back home from VA and will be getting a divorce, she needs me. And now I find out this morning that my Great Step-Uncle dided last night. I can't take time off work to go home for anything till probably after the first of the year. There will be no Christmas in my household because they are Jewish, but that's ok.

I just miss home.


But, in the other hand, I am starting to enjoy Portland. My commute to work sucks balls but I'm working on changing that. I have some of my things unpacked so it's starting to feel like home more and more!
