 Ok, here is the video. There are some pics from the day as well in it.

I was really excited to finally get to ride, altho, as soon as I got on, and backed the bike around and started it, I had to have a bit of a snivel session. I was good once I got the 2 or 3 tears out of the way. I can't say I wasn't nervous, because I was. I was shakin like a 9.0 earthquake.

I got on, and rode up and down the street for a little bit. I practiced turning, shifting, and all that stuff. I even did the little weavy thing too. :)

My paws were starting to get cold, so, I pulled up to where the truck was parked, and Mike and I sat in the truck for a few mins, me warming up my hands, and listening to the things I needed to work on, and what I was doing well. He said I was pretty smooth, for the most part. I guess I did a LOT better than what he had anticipated. So, he got on his bike, and me back on mine, and we trucked up and down the street numerous times. He would start off on the sidewalk, and then do a little bunny hop off of it... I guess he had to make a boring up and down trip on a small street portion interesting. :haha:

I was starting to get turning down pretty good. The street was on an incline, and the top portion of it, where I would turn around was not easy for me. I ended up losing momentum somehow, and when I went to put my foot down, there wasn't enough ground beneath me and the bike leaned, and kept on going. I knew I wasn't going to keep it from falling over, so I let it go. As we were falling over, the mirror hit me in the nose. I should have had my visor flipped down, but I never thought of it. You can bet I wont forget it now. Mike came running down the hill to check on me, I was ok, but my nose was bleeding. He had me go up to the truck and got me a towel to stop it. I got blood splatters on the inside of my helmet, the visor, my gloves and the front of my jacket. Mike brought the bike up to the truck. I saw one of the rear side plastics has some scratches and paint chips on it. I started BAWLING, bummed that I scratched my pretty little bike. Once I stopped bleeding, I did get geared up and got right back on. I did one loop on the street, and rode back up to the truck. We had already been playing for almost 2 hours.

What an awesome day is all I can say. It felt so good to be riding. I can't wait to get back on again!!!! :rad: :rad: :rad:

No biggie on the scratches and chips. It was only one little piece and it can be fixed. The frame sliders did their job. We've all had little misshaps like that. I remember once I went to put my foot down at a stop light and it went right into a pothole and over the bike went. OOPS! lol. You really did ride great today! Tomorrow we learn wheelies and stoppies!!! :rad: Oh wait...maybe we just go for a little ride instead.

Good for you!!

My first ride(s) were in a state fairground parking lot and my (then) hubby coaching me from the ground. Did this a couple of weekends then went for a ride 2 up!! Rode 90 miles on country roads with him (230 lbs.+) on the back. ALmost went in a ditch but but basically did OK.

25 years later I'm still riding and haven't had any mishaps to speak of.

You'll be doing great before you know it and CONGRATULATIONS!
