As you all know, we have joked on this forum about the idiots out there who don't always wear proper riding gear. But let me tell you, it is no laughing matter.... Check out this website....

KRIS DO NOT LOOK! GRAPHIC! BAD!, STAY AWAY!

http://niketalk.yuku.com/topic/54494/t/Hot-model-rides--motorcycle---crashes--PICS-WARNING.html?page=1

Just a reminder to always wear your gear.... You never know what's going to happen. Keep the rubber side down!!! :wave

Friendly reminder to all, posting graphic pics or even linking to them without explicit warnings isn't recieved very well here for obvious reasons.

If reasons aren't obvious to you PM me and I'll explain.

Sorry about forgetting to put that in there......

I guess I came across it in a shocking way, and sometimes some things are better off seen without too much warning to get the message behind it.

But I am sorry if I offended anyone....... :( Not what I meant at all..... :(

Now I feel really bad.... You can delete the thread if you choose.

 ITs ok..But, man was that a trip..lol. I know Flyte wouldn't post anything like that. I know on other sites I've seen things too. But, there is usually a header letting people know if its not goof to view at work or that its very graphic....Made me feel pain for those who got hurt. Im not knocking it down.

Just didn't expect to see something that wild on a empty stomach..lol..:smilewink: PS>

When I said thank you Flyte. IT was refering to his advice about posting. Then the drink part was a joke..I smoke a cigarette instead and blew it off..So no worries.

There is no issue with the link or the pics. Some people need to have evidence like that to remind them.

Here at OSB we have a few members who are very much personally affected by images like that so we strive to be extremely, maybe even overly, cautious because of that sensitivity.

Did anybody on scene have hamburger helper with them?

I was just on my CBR forum, and came across a sad story before seeing this, and it still brings me to tears.....

The moderator on my CBR forum was on a ride with a couple other buddies of his, and after they stopped for gas, they went on their separate ways. The two guys who were leading weren't wearing any gear..... One of them decided to pop a wheelie going 80 miles down what was supposed to be a "straight, boring stretch"......... Well, he came down and lost the bike.... The guardrail took off an arm, a leg, and his head........

Then I came across the website for what I posted. This stuff gets to me.... I may not know many of you, but I care so much about a motorcyclist's safety, it's pathetic. I did before I got on a motorcycle for the first time, but it's even more so now that I've been on one. Some people, after riding for sometime, get that cocky attitude of "I'm invincible"....... Well, these stories are just proof that no matter how invincible you feel, you really aren't.

This is the mushy side of me I guess. :) Just know I care.

Just what Flyte said.... Some people on the forum have been in some serious accidents, and have lived to tell the tale.... Jane Honda has her story up I believe in the General Discussion section.

Sorry I spaced on that part.... Like I said, I meant no harm! :)

But on to the last question.... It might have come in handy! :vomit:

My rear end was gone. There were deep holes. Skin was gone from front to back. My shoulder was ground down to the bone, and I had chunks of flesh gone here and there on my body

It may not show pics, but she did an amazing job explaining her situation. Thanks for the link, Flyte.

It's ok, Erica. It was your first time puting anything up like that.

*hugs*

Believe me, I am NOT going to look at it. I got the warning loud and clear! :haha:

Ok. I lied. I looked.

I bet that was a lesson learned. I learned it the hard way. I bet she gears up from now on!

Seems like she learned it the hard way, too!! You'd think after the small road rash she got from that first accident that she would think about putting some real gear on..... She was dumb; it's just that simple.... She had more than her fair chance at lessons!!

But Kris, you see, you were given another chance at this life, and you were smart about it the FIRST time.... And it really wasn't your fault.... From what it seemed like, the girl in this story just wasn't paying attention. Point is.... You learned, and you're living by that lesson. Hopefully she finally got the picture!!!!

Seen this before! +1 on gearing up. Wear leathers all the time if possible. Sweat dries up faster than blood!!!

well i was thinking about how hot she was and looked at her foot and got my boots out and polished them up. i went down a cpl of months ago and slid about 25 feet, no rolling just a baseball slide and was so thankful i had on pants and boots. my jacket and pants got rash and my left glove wore through to the inner lining and i got a small scrape on my thumb.. the pain to my abdomen was like being kicked by a horse and required a trip to the hospital but i couldnt imagine losing my foot to road rash

Damn, that hurts and it is sad to see. I hope she recovers quickly and gets back up to 100%. I am a fan of MotoXXX Racing and have supported them (me, being from California originally) for several years by buying their products. Shi-ite happens but it pays to wear the proper gear.

Willixer600, yeah, I wear my Army boots a lot while riding to and from work. Anyhow, tennis shoes look cooler when you are doing a static handstand. Ha-Ha.

If you like to through dirt, Brown's Camp for dirt biking this weekend (Friday through Sunday).

Those are some pretty graphic pictures especially the bones. I am guessing she was only wearing jeans and tennis shoes and a leather jacket.

I crashed once, but I had all my gear on including a back protector. The only part of my body that got hurt was my left big toe due to the shift lever folding over on my left boot. Other then that when I hit the ground I bounced, because of all the saftey gear I had on.

I had boots on when I wrecked it it was worse. I hate to imagine what it would of been with sneakers. I don't think I would have my foot today.
Believe me when I say WEAR ALL THE GEAR YOU HAVE AND SOME. If its to hot to ride with it one then don't ride.
BE safe. and check my avatar if you don't believe me.

Lord, we hate to hear these things.

Many moons ago, before I was riding I heard a story about a foot being ground off and people getting their laces caught up in levers. I have always worn boots, gloves and long pants. Now add the armoured jacket, or the least heavy leather.
When I was young and invincevible I wore no helmet, tank tops. Lost a few friends to "Freak" accidents and things started to change.:fly:

My condolences to the freinds and family involved in the horrific ordeal. :(
