Hi, I am selling my crewcab, it has a whole bunch of new and extra parts. I would also consider trading it plus some cash for a newer sportbike. Let me know what you got and I'll give you more details about the truck. Thanks,
Jason

Is this forum actually titled Craigslist.

Are you useing this site to meet people that have the same interests as you? Or are you just trying to get rid of your old Junk?

Having a bad day or what. Actually yeah I would like to meet people that have the same interests as me and I have been enjoying looking through the technical forums and so on. But this is a classifieds forum. If you don't want to look at threads about stuff that is for sale, then maybe you shouldn't look in the classified threads. And further more, there isn't any real reason to act that way, I'm pretty sure I didn't insult your mother or anything. I am just trying to change projects right now. Hope you have a good day.:wave

1. I suspect he actually was having a good day. Otherwise this post probably wouoldn't be here

2. He doesn't have a choice, he has to look being that he is a moderator an all.

3. He doesn't need a reason to act that way. He does it because he can.

4. Good luck with changing projects. I'll stick to my current one of being an administrator around here and Lobes will probably stick to his project of abusing Mimi without regret.Ride her hard and put her away wet!

I think some people are getting bent out of shape around here. I thought everybody here are friends and have one thing in common. RIDING STREET BIKES!!:rad::rad::crash::crash:

Well, two things in common, most of us actually post in areas other then the classifieds.

Truth be told, if all a person is going to do is hock their wares and not be a social or technical participant then I'd rather they go elsewhere. Lobes was right that this isn't craigslist.

I am sorry if I have done something wrong here. I am a member of a lot of different forums for different things. I have read through a lot of the threads on this forum and have not posted to them for two reasons.
1. I am new to this sport and don't feel like I have a lot of insight to add.
and
2. I am new to this particular forum.

I actually found this forum while shopping for a new streetbike and thought it would be a cool place to meet people but if there is something wrong with posting into the classifieds, maybe it should be in the rules or something. I posted it in the miscellaneous section and the part that seems to be forgotten is that I am wanting to do a part trade for a streetbike. Preferably a damaged one that I can rebuild in my spare time. Again, I don't want to make waves, I just felt as though the bash was a little un-called for. Anyway, looks like I am talking to people now. Maybe we should move to another thread that has nothing to do with my "junk" so we don't get reprimanded.

Yeah, and I have to say, I am a little surprised by the reaction. As I said before, I am a member of several different forums and have only met very nice, helpful people along the way. From the threads that I have read through here, it seems as though others on here are very nice and helpful and it seems like a good environment. I'm not sure why this post caused that reaction but would it make you guys feel better if I made some posts talking about things I don't know a whole lot about?:blonde2:

No I am not having a bad day. I Just think that there is a difference between a used car sales man and someone who wants to be a friend. A friend will let you know about themselves and want to know about you. IE.......THE WELCOME FORUM. A used car sales man doesn't give a crap about you or anyone else they just want to sell you a car. IE..... WHAT YOU ARE DOING. So I don't know about anyone else here but it sure looks like you are trying to sell a car and nothing else. If that is the case then I would like to officially say "good bye". Otherwise start a thread in the welcome forum and let me be the first to say "Welcome we have a good group of people here"

Ford Crew Cabs rock!!! Keep it and get some dirt bikes for you and your wife and we will see you in the dirt. I have an F350 4x4 Crew Cab that throws mud on occasion to get to that remote parking spot to unload the bikes. Nice!!! Hang in there with your posts, GET A BIKE and the guys will lay off of you, well... maybe a little. These guys rock and they have been around for awhile, hell, I am pretty new myself but I know a few of these guys on the site.

Yeah, I like the crewcabs too. It was kind of my dream to put a diesel in it but it is just so much easier to buy a diesel truck. Now that I have another diesel the ford never gets driven so I would like to a streetbike now. :crash:

A new Diesel? What did you get? I noticed you didn't say a new Ford Diesel, but it is all good, if you can afford the fuel anymore. Argghhhhh... $4.48 last time I filled up the truck. Good luck with getting a bike.

My apologies for the cold welcome. Flyte and Lobes can be kind of blunt sometimes but they mean no harm.

The policy here is the same as just about every forum. its not a place to simply join up to sell stuff. I think they jumped on this thread because it seemed thats what you were doing.

Stop by the welcome forum and introduce yourself, what kind of bike are you wanting to get? Let the members get to know ya a bit better!

oh and :welcome: good to have you in our midst!

Thanks man, I think we've got it figured out now. I think I would really like to get a 07 or 08 cbr600rr. I've kind of always been a honda guy but to be honest I'm not going to be that picky about my first bike. I have a feeling that I will end up buying a lightly damaged bike that I can tinker with a little bit. That is kind of part of the fun for me anyway. I have been looking at a couple of zx6r's lately. I haven't ridden one yet to compare it to the honda but just based on the styling I like them. The honda just felt nice and torquey on the bottom end for a 600.

Those new CBR600RR's are freaking gorgeous... I'm in love with the dark gray one with the black detail..... :)

I like them too. It's too bad they are so damn expensive though. Even used ones are holding their value really well.

Yeah, I miss my old CBR 600 but I really miss the '01 CBR 929. Need more money, a bigger garage and more bikes. Hmmmm.... How to get rich??? Any ideas?

I haven't yet figured it out. I am kind of in the same situation. I tore down my old garage and was going to build a new one and then I crashed a dirt bike and broke my shoulder. Now I have to have surgery and will not be able to do any building for quite some time.

Jkornc2001, ouch, that sucks both the crash and the injury. I have had some cortisone in the old shoulder due to dislocating it but no surgery there. Good luck. One on my buddies just had his collar bone shortened, as he broke it a few years ago and it healed wrong.

It is definately a very expensive mistake but I am glad to finally be getting it fixed. I first dislocated it about 5 years ago and have been paying the price ever since. Now they are giving me a 90% chance of never dislocating it again. I just want to ride, this shoulder is really slowing me down:yell:

Yeah, I know the feeling, this shoulder surgery thing sucks. I don't know when I'll be able to get a bike now. I'm starting to get cabin fever already and it's only been a week!
