Great Shot Twist! Me and Badrepp just went to the Motocorsa shop and OMG, I found my heaven! Saw your old 916 in there on the floor! AND, there was a Desmodeci in there today!! Yea, I wet myself! The sales rep said an older conniseur (sp?) owns it and by the description I was wondering if the guy is our very own Dr. Duc. Any idea? I'll PM him. Next track day is 23 June!

What can I tell ya B, it was awesome. Perfect day for my first day out on the track, and good people to boot.
I was in "C" group being my first track day, and it was cool. The first half of the day was "follow the instructor" and follow his line, etc. The track was packed and it bunched up in the corners, so it was a little frustrating. There was no passing on corners, just in the straights.
The second half of the day was "on your own" and was very exciting.
I tell ya though, the first time you rap out your bike at 140 and then try to look for that first turn is stressful! It got better as the day wore on, but I just couldn't get that picture out of my mind as I'm rapping the gears on the front straight that I would go too fast on the first turn.
I'm signed up again for the second one, June 23rd, and in "B" group this time.
We need to have more people out there!!!!
Edit: Oh yea, I saw Michael Csysz there also.

Matt, I was there today picking up my bike! I was there around 3:00-3:30?
Yea, saw that Desmodeci, I heard it was going in for the first tune up.
Well when I was at track day, a desmodeci showed up and the rider was an older guy, didn't get the name, everybody was swooning in on him and the bike!!

Great Pics buddy! That last pic of me chasing that 916 is great cause I really wanted to pass that guy so bad, but no passing in corners! He was very fast in the straights, so he would get in front of me in the straights.
Thanks Ben.
I think you got way better pictures than the ones I bought from on sight cause you took it throughout the day, and he only took it the first half.
The second half is when they let us all go and the turns were better for me.
I would gladly take some pics from you and maybe donate to the "xqsme" photographic fund.

What about Cascade.. is that one any better/worse? Aren't there like three of these in the Portland area?
I need to get me some boots apparently. :eek2: requirement and I don't have race boots yet..

David,
There is Motocorsa, CTT, PSSR and NESBA that does track days at PIR.
I've only been in the Motocorsa track days and they only run on Mondays. I don't know the schedule of the other ones but if you look up PIR's schedule, you can see it there.
Good luck.

I would not recommend cascade track days for a first track day. Instruction is limited and they dont have a true "beginners" group its either fast or slow.
Only other organization I have used is PSSR which has an EXCELENT beginners group ("C" group) and top notch instruction. I think there were 3-5 riders per instructor.
I have also heard good things about motocorsa and nesba but have yet to do a track day with them.

Thanks for that. I'll check 'em out. Monday could be problematic so I'll have to look up PSSR and NESBA. Thanks guys..
