Secret Santa!

Ok..sooooo since it's the Christmas time, and giving gifts is fun, I thought it might be fun to do a little secret santa. This is how it works. Everyone who wants to participate post up. When we figure out who wants to participate, I can make a complete list of the names. Then, I'll mix them up, PM you who you have, and you then proceed to send a secret santa gift in the mail. Gifts can be no more than $10, can include white elephant gifts, random funny things you don't want from home, can be as big a gift as you like, or as small a gift. It can be nice, or goofy. Also, try and keep it fairly appropriate, as most have familes and kids around the house. Then, when you get your gift in the mail, open it up, post up what you got, and who you think your Secret Santa might be. Interested? I think it would be fun, cheap, and a good way to spread some Christmas cheer! If enough people are interested, I'll set a date everything must be in the mail by. OK? Ok!:yes:

This is generally a fun idea but...............This could get messy. First not that many of us have time to add 1 more thing to our list and then finding time to pick gift, send gift and all.......................:thinking:

I think we should try to keep this to those that are attending the Holiday gathering so there's a more personal touch and no hassle with sending stuff.

Then again, those that can't make the party might like to do this........

Mike is still trying to get a good idea of a central spot to do the party. I don't know the places North of here (EUG) so we need ideas for the Albany, Salem areas!

I like the idea alot! I was going to suggest this for the christmas party. perhaps we can get it started here, and then exchange the gifts at the christmas party? Great idea Amy! :thumbup:

i would rather just stick to white elephant,cause u can either get a goofy or prank or nice gifts,everyone would get a gift that shows up

I'm with V8 on that one. Secret Santa is fun but if someone's Santa doesn't show.... They get the shaft for Christmas.

Well the idea was not to do it in person, but to send it through the mail. That way whoever wants to can be involved, and it's always fun getting stuff in the mail. But..whatever. I understand that people don't wanna add any more things to their to-do list.
