With great regret and a little bit of humility, I am sad to say I dumped my bike outside of Bob Lamphere on sunday. I was going toward the freeway and hit something slippery and went straight down. there goes my "ive been riding for 25 years without ever wrecking story now. I broke my left side mirror, the clutch handle, scraped my plastics, the muffler has a pretty good flat side to it. my bar end is messed up and a few other minor things. the plastics have minor scratches on the left lower and front fender. i bought it on march 3 2007 and just passed 17000 miles in one year so I guess I have been lucky. I spent a day in the hospital with a severely bruised abdomenal wall and sprained hand where the clutch handle broke, and a bruised bone in my hip, my hand was between it and the ground. My Hayabusa landed on my abdomen and and just slid down the road ahead of me. My insurance wont cover it because recently i lowered my coverage. I slid on my pants, boots and gloves and they all got pretty damaged. if anyone has xl pants for sale,, xl warm gloves, and any parts that I mentioned above for sale (not looking for a handout, just a good deal) please give me a call... 503 734 0272. thanks and be safe

duncan and his wife hooked me up with new parts they took off of their 07 hayabusa. saving me probably hundreds of dollars. duncan also found me some pipes for 50 bucks on ebay and i spent about 150 today so things are coming together. i just need my side fairings painted they have minor abrasions not cracked or damaged but for scratches buffed on for hours. so could use a painter to give it stock base coat clearcoat paint job, thanks for all of your kindness and prayers. im well thanks

Sorry to hear about the get off. Always sucks to go down, I'm not sure if it's the pride or the physical injuries that hurt more.
Hit up Cstmpntr (or some screen name like that) here on the forum. He did some work for TwIsT and it came out looking showroom.

Oh man!....Sorry to hear.
Congrats though, you are now an Official Bank Angle Sensor Tester or OBAST
for short!
I'll join you in the elite company though. I had a tip over of my Goldwing.
Yup, my fault too. I was trying to get the perfect camera angle over a fence
so I decided to stand on my right side passenger floorboard to get some
extra height (I'm apparently short). Well, I got the shot and the bike tipped
over onto it's right side..:wtf: Luckily the Goldwings have crash bars as standard
equipment so no damage, other than my pride.
If a motorcycle falls over and no one sees, did it really fall..??

Jeff, once you are part of the family, you never leave. Of course I will call you. You have my number as well, so you can ALWAYS call if you need anything. I still have those Draggin jeans if you need them. So glad you are back together again with your bike.

Arin, do what the Doctor says no matter how bored you get. My brother's buddy was hit by a car about a year ago while out riding his motorcycle and ended up losing his foot just above the ankle. So, take it easy and heal up.

Wow, Jeff!!! You sure have been having issues with a lot of blood clots. I remember last year you had one as well and spent time in the hospital because of it, wasn't it in your lungs?
:( Poor, baby... If there is anything you need, give me a holler.

Bro! Been a long time (pre deployment plus the time I've been back) since I've seen you and hadn't read this string yet! You follow the doc's orders and heal up quick my friend. We'd rather wait to see you fully recovered months from now than back and forth between healthy and broke! Let us know if we should all come to your place with grill, meat and drinks!

im well, the blood clots are still there but dissolving, takes a while to go away. i have some factor b thing that makes me prone to clotting. ive been out riding. i almost put in 19000 miles on my bike since last march so ive been fortunate. thanks for the concern ... kitty i remember , you were very kind, i lost your number :(.
