Is it because you're connected to this sight?
Piss on 'em. Maybe they don't like the competition!
Your friends are here and those that are on sb.ws will find you.

Yea, Apparently Kris and I have been IP banned from that other forum. probably because someone with a power trip over there heard we were extending invitations. lol. That's nothing that software cant fix, but I think its just a little rediculous. I mean who doesnt want to meet even MORE friends to ride with? That "other fourm" has so many problems over there that they are terrified that their memembers might find a better place to meet people that doesnt have the B.S. and the stress that they have over there. It just bothers me that alot of those people over there are looking for something better but have not heard of this site. I would encourage everyone to pass the word along and give others an option.
I personally would like to have a links page with links to other sportbike forums so that we CAN meet others and find more friends to ride with.
(By the way The IP Ban problem is solved  )

Maybe I missed something but whomever signed up and went and whored everythread with links here and nothing worthwhile was a tad much. It's all about how it's handled.

this is what Mark had top say..copied from"the other place"
Well everyone, I don't even know where to start. I guess I'll just lay it out and say what's on my mind.
With the amount of growth that the Oregon forums have seen over the years, it is a given fact that there will always be conflict. I remember in the early days when everyone got along and Oregon was the envy of the entire membership. How lucky you were to have such a large group that didn't have the drama that I have seen in other parts of the country. That has changed and Oregon has fell victim along with many others. Some call it the winter blues, putting the bikes up for the winter. Many blame the moderators or even me for the unrest. It truly is a shame whatever happened, because you all had a terrific thing going. I personally have always given the Oregon membership almost anything they asked for. In return there was much support and appreciation in the way of donations, etc. Where did things go wrong and who or what is truly to blame?
So here we are losing good member after good member because of bad apples. Another forum (the 3rd) was just recently started and is actively recruiting SBWS members to leave and join the new latest and greatest. Has it occurred to everyone that the same drama will happen there too and most likely be 10x worse? Profanity, porn, slander, whatever will take hold and they will be force to make important decisions. Moderators will be chosen to restore the peace and they will be branded the bad guys. SBWS has been through three moderators that were quality members and all around good people. They were virtually beat to a point where they quit. Why should it be like this? This is the Internet and you have to have tough skin, however is it wrong to expect some sort of civil order and ask the membership to follow a set of rules?
A few members here were recently banned because they choose to be sneaky and abuse the PM system. Sending out PM's encouraging members to leave and find a new home because this place isn't making the grade. Dedicated members emailed us and sent copies of those PM's. They talk smack about this forum, the admins and moderators behind our backs and then knock on my door and expect to be welcome in my home. Once in, they spit in our face, and then wonder why are they no longer welcome. I'm sorry, but I have given alot to your community and I think I deserve at least a little respect and an occasional thank you.
Most of the members here are good people that enjoy the forums daily and look past the drama before them. To those members, I appreciate having you here and are always welcome. Let me know what I can do to make things better.
To everyone else, the troublemakers, the few who can't seem to get along and follow simple guidelines .... please join the other forum. In time you will see that the grass is not greener on the other side.
In closing I just want to say thanks to all the members over the years who have shown support and appreciation for what I have given. I have never done anything other than give my best to the Oregon members. If you decide to leave, I wish you the best. If you decide to stay, thanks !

I have only pmed my friends about this place, and I did nothing against that site at all. I am pretty hurt about this, and it seems as if some people that were my friends, indeed aren't.
And, Chakup, I have seen you stir the pot as well. You are not totally innocent, but, I still like you and Peach... :)

I think its funny that after reading all of that, I still dont see that he recognizes the problem. The real problem over there is that the owners and moderators of that other forum feel that they somehow OWN members and that those members that do associate on other forums are penalized for doing so. All Ive ever done is extend an invitation to a few members over there. I NEVER asked or reccommended that anyone "Leave" that other forum. I started oregon sportbike to give everyone just another place to associate with other sportbike riders, plan rides and events, and make new friends. Thats all. No alterior motives. In the beginning, I even offered a link exchange with that forum's owner and was met with rudness.
Ive even been accused of being the Hicklor or whoever it was that went and spammed their forum. It wasnt me! I dont even think it was anyone from this forum. I honestly believe that it was someone from THAT forum just trying to stir up troubble! The other day I DID go there and PM 3 people and again extend an invitation. I didnt post ANYTHING in the main forum. The very next day our IP address was banned from their server. So now even Kris, who has done NOTHING wrong couldnt go there. Its just wierd to me. Its like the members there are kept prisoner or something. And then there are the few A$$ kissers who felt it neccessary to run to the owners or moderators and, just like a child, Tattle on those that were being NICE and passing the word on that there is yet another place to meet new people, make new friends, etc in a PM. How childish is that? They "ABUSED the PM system"?? Last I knew, PM Stood for "Private Message", not "Public Announcement" I dont even believe that there is anything on their "Rules" about someone PMing someone else about another forum!. I dont know what else to say. I know one thing for sure, I would NEVER penelize a member for going to another forum and posting! I would never bare ill will towards someone for telling another member about another forum! The more the merrier in my opinion! Heck! If you KNOW of another great forum, let me know and I will go to that forum and offer a link exchange with them! I have always gone into this with the idea that this forum belongs to the members to make of it what they will. I am in no way a "Boss" of any kind! lol. Im just another sportbike rider, and not even a GREAT sportbike rider. I just enjoy the comradery and companionship of other sportbike riders that can relate to what Im enjoying in life...
I dont know what else to say...coments and suggestions are welcome as usual.

I think its messed up how things are being handled. All this drama is absolutely unnecessary. I have enjoyed this site and the absense of trolls and BS posts. The mudslinging is become pretty thick to wade through to the good stuff over there. But Mark did bring up a point that should be considered. As this site gains members, there is bound to be some bad apples to come our way. How are we gonna deal with it? Its just an honest question to consider.
Mike and Kris, Thanks for creating this wonderful site for all of us! My offer still stands should you need some help with managing things. Lets all remember what we have leanerd from SB.WS and try to avoid those mistakes.
I love you guys!!!

:2cents: First-I tried the other place and didn't feel real comfortable there. Didn't make strong connections "on-line". This was after I had ridden with their members and had a great time. When I tried to get them to respond to my posts I received no feed back. I'm not willing to spend my time persuing those kind of relationships.
Second- I was verbally directed to ESB by a young man in a cycle parts store. I immediataly felt comfortable with this group. Thus developing a small loyalty. I certainly didn't think I was obligated to stay with the original sight. I think this is still a free country. Isn't it?
Third- The opening of OSB was just another great way to connect with others with similar passions. Namely-Bikes, Bikes, Bikes.
:2cents: more. If we find a member out of line or uncomfortable we either ignore their remarks or let them know we find them out of line. I prefere to let them know when they're being "Bad Dogs". If they're not wanting to read it then they can go else where and post.
Let's just keep it light. Lifes too short for laboring over egos and hurt feelings.

:crying: Sniff...Sniff...I love you too man!
As to your honest question...what will be done if and when someone joins that will cause problems...I see it this way...all or atleast MOST of us here are adults who have gleened SOME problem solving and confrontation skills while growing up. If you have a problem with someone, Talk to that someone and try and work it out. If you NEED mediation, ask a mutual friend or me or someone you both respect to help. If the problem isnt solved at that point there will be a policy of meeting at a mutually acceptable place and drinking untill one or both of the offending parties passes out. If that doesnt solve the problem, just dont talk to eachother anymore. lol.
Seriously...just remember the golden rule... Do unto others, bla bla bla....Just keep in mind that we are all here because we all enjoy this sport and it sure is fun to share that enjoyment with others.

I just got on there. (we have our ways) I tried to log in, and it said...
Reason banned: none
Ban lifted: never
So, because I have the same ip addy as RedDragon, and another user, I get banned too. Oh well. Just as well, I was asked to leave that place a while ago, because I wasn't 'invited' so, that user got his wish. That place seems to be really cliquey. I am happy for this site that Mike and I created out of our love for our friends, and for the bikes we ALL enjoy riding. We all have our differences, and we accept them all because you are our friends. Even if we don't agree with everything, we honor and respect your views.

I keep his side at about 60, my side at 35-45. The one downfall they don't tell you about these beds, if your not laying in the middle of the mini air matress then your weight will go to either side making it uneven. So I keep his side higher so I don't roll off of my side! But, as we speak he's enjoying the comfort of 40...on my side of the bed:sleep:

I worked at a vet, the family that brought him in could no longer care for him so they asked if I would "adopt" him and make sure he got good treatment. I promised them I would do my best. So now, almost 3 years later, he's still playing the I was sick card....and I'm buying it.
