Jane Honda

Okay, Kris told me what a white elephant party is and it sounds fun. I was kinda thinking that it would be cool if we could have some kind of a potluck for food, and maybe rent an inexpensive hall or something to have it at. If anyone knows a D.J. or has some good sound equipment it would be awesome. perhaps we could have a few members donate (or loan) some christmas decorations and help decorate and such.
Those are just a few ideas I had. please feel free to add whatever you think would be great!

I'm liking V8's ideas. White elepahant gift exchanges are awesome. Bowling sounds fun too. I suck at it but it's fun. Some pizza, some of V8's root beer, some bowling and a gift exchange. Sounds like a blast.

I could actually get to this party!!! :rad: :clapping: :clapping: :rad:

Are we looking at the 22nd or 23rd of Dec.??

We should have it someplace where we can have hard drinks or beer and wine. Most of us will probably be caging it.
PotLuck is great!
I'll be watching this post! :D :D :lets-eat: :drinking: :lets-eat: :D :D

Find out who's interested so we can pick a place as central as possible. If some come from afar we might think about sleeping spots aside from the floor, the car or jail.

I'm so EXCITED!

All great suggestions Keshtie! If you drink you take your chances and sleep at a buddies house if yours is too far away to take you to. lol. As for the 22nd or 23rd of December, Either would be fine with me and kris. If either of these are a good day for anyone else speak up, and if we get enough response we will nail it down. We need suggestions for a location. I like the bowling alley / private room idea. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Okay, so the general concensus is that the Saturday December 23rd will work just find from what Im reading. So Im going to go ahead and say that we will be having the christmas party starting anytime after 6:00 pm (Probably around 7:00 pm) on Saturday December 23rd.
It will be a potluck, so if you would like to bring something, please state what you are intending to bring here in this thread so I can start keeping track of what will be needed otherwise and start volunteering people to bring it.
I guess everyone likes the idea of a white elephant party, so start looking for those great gifts, (Gag, or otherwise) and make sure they will be wrapped.
I would like to hear from people that can donate some kind of christmas decorations also. I have NONE. But Im sure I can make some reaths and such. I would like to see it a motorcycle theme, so lets be creative. If you can donate anything no matter how small, it will be awesome!
Now the last bit of business, "WHERE????" We need to find a good place to have our get together. So if you can find a place, even if its someones shop, post up! Im going to start doing some searching myself this week, but I dont know the area nearly as well as most of you do. So any and all help in this department will be greatly appreciated!

kneedragger26
11-29-2006, 08:29 AM
So it looks like the party's coming together. Its too far out to say if I am coming but I can bring something, and a gift is the easy part.

Now since the "group" is kind of split, wouldnt it be easier to find a meeting place in the middle?

Okay.... Here's the link for all your questions http://www.sykart.com/

It is a on the spendy side.
It's $15.00 per 10 min session.
Bring your own helmet and you won't have to pay a $2.00 fee for a helmet liner.
Kids under 15 need to take the young drivers course ($45.00 Sat mornings).

It's recomended that we call for availability before coming as a walk in. We could rent the entire building for only $925.00 per hr.
