I was out deer hunting below my parents place last sunday, as I was making my way around to a spot i like to hunt I got a sunnden chill down my spine. I stop a took a look around and just off my left the was about a 160 to 200lb courgar sitting there....only 15 feet from me... I froze.... I was hoping that it would run away. I had seen one in about the same spot 4 yaers ago and it ran, but the longer we looked at each other the more defensive the cat got, started to lay his ears back... we know what that means if anyone has house cat's. So I did the only thing I could and sank an arrow in him... after 4 hours of me looking for him I was unable to find the cat..... I know my shot was a good one but it went into one of the biggest blackberry patch's I have ever seen... I will be going back out there this weekend to look some more...

Those cats are sneaky animals. Was he stalking you or did you just happen to come upon him? Either way, tough spot to be in especially when the ears go back and their head starts to go down.
Glad to hear that nothing else came of it.
