Ink: I need an artist

I'm working on an idea for a new tattoo.


If you have any recommendations for an artist, and subsequently someone that is good with ink - they don't have to be the same person.

The design I'm working on is a combination of a few ideas, and I need an artist to start getting this on paper to see how it pans out.
A phoenix (not a tribal look, a more realistic bird)
The wings I want to be the flames and engulfing the bird
And, I would like to somehow incorporate the girls names into the flames of the wings
...and there a few other 'things' that I want worked into the art....

Any suggestions / ideas / recommendations / advice?

I am getting my tattoo designed by Clae at Oddballstudios.com in Portland. My wife and mother in law got theirs with him. Awesome art. They only do custom tattoos, they work with your ideas.

I am having mine done next month!

^ thanks.... I still have Clae on my list from your sb.ws recommendation - Thanks. I'm just wanting to get about 5 artists total and go through their portfolios. ya'know - it's something you kind of have to live with forever so I want this done right. I do really like the work they have posted. I have another artist (not tattoo) that is helping me with the initial rendition....

i dont know any local artists, mine is down in so.cal... Yvonne at Outer Limits Tattoo in Anaheim, CA... corner of Beach Blvd & Ball Rd. if you have the means to get down there, every single artist in that studio is superbly talented!!

I must say that he does more than tattoos. He also paints. Go to the studio and look the art that they have on the wall. It's all made by them. Yo can also glance to some custom work they are working on.
