Every time I've ever heard of ANY track getting repaved, there are always rumors that they are going to add more track, or a new turn or something that would make it "better" for racers and track day enthusiasts. Aside from some safety changes, I've never heard of any of these changes actually happening.

Going into the repave we knew that the reason for the repave was to lengthen the track, to meet FIA (or some racing group's) requirements for track length. So it made sence that if they had to make the track longer they would at least have the chance to add some extra turns.

And if you look at the track map, you will see that there was a plan to add a second chicane at the end of the back straight. Probably better they didn't do that, but we may never know now. :idunno:

I think that the changes were a success for sure. I can't wait for the season to start!
