I rode to the L City on the coast today. I was passing in the right lane to get ahead. Were are all these stupid drivers coming from.:thinking:

Some people just need to learn how to drive. I fight it everyday. Where to drive its a hard thing to learn. Sometimes I wonder if they know what the painted lines are for

(me pointing and laughing) You must be newer to Oregon than I am. There is NO fast lane here, because no one here drives fast.
Around here, on the highways, I'm always shocked when I'm going 10 over and that's what the traffic is actually flowing. In Arizona, if you realized you were going 10 over, you'd panic and speed up before you get run over.

Drive in CA sometime, traffic flows at 100+ on I-5 in some places.

I wouldn't recommend lane splitting at that speed though.
Typical AZ speeds were 80 in a 65 and 85 in a 75. That kept up with traffic without attracting undo attention. Drop below 70 and you're a rolling chicane...
...or a speedbump.

If I was not riding a naked bike I would be all over it!....How hard would it be to see if that was on my face shield???

I went to Knott's last time I was down there and my favorite ride was the LA freeway lol.
Even in the bay area if you're doing 85 in the left lane you need to make sure nobody wants to pass you.
This is one CA way of thinking I'd like to see here ya know.

Take I-5 south from the bay area through the San Joquine(sp?) valley. I've done 85+ in a semi too many times to count and cars are still passing me at well over 100. I'd say the median speed for cars down that stretch is about 90.
