View Full Version : TOR this weekend
Anyone who is going to the races this weekend and not doing TOR may want to consider donating 20 minutes of your time to OMRRA to corner work during TOR and get an up close and personal look at your friends who are doing it.
It is always fun to pick on them later and say "hey, what was that squirelly move you made in T5?" or whatever.

Saturday went well with me chasing Josh (SoreLoser on SB.WS) around the whole time. Sadly it ended early due to a nasty high side in turn 5.
Sunday, Josh decided to wuss out cause he was tired so I went out and had an absolute blast! I had the track to myself most of the time. Passed a couple people and even lapped the norton! I was about 8 laps in and I noticed my tires felt a little greasy. Slight slippage in turn 2 and the next lap around HOLY SH!T I am sideways coming out of 3!!!!! My hand goes up and I baby it all the way around (waving riders past me) and exit the track early. Im glad I did cause I did NOT want to push my luck and ruin the rest of the session (and my day). The group came in about 1 or 2 laps later having done the full 20 minutes with no incident.

.. Sadly it ended early due to a nasty high side in turn 5...
Not to be condescending, but how does one highside in turn 5? It is hardly even a turn to a car, let alone a bike.:idunno:Was the rider making a bad pass?
I saw two pretty harsh high sides during sundays races, but they were in turns 3 and 4.:crash:

I guess it was on the exit of 4 going into 5. People get greedy on the gas and step out the rear tire there all the time
Exactly, many racers have saved tank slappers from the rear coming around on the exit from 4. Those who don't save it usually land in 5, hence my original post starting this thread, although I wish that prediction would not have come true.
