I've owned this for three years and have had zero problems. Garage stored. Winter maintained. I used premium gas ALWAYS (excessive I know - but I sometimes need it for the bikes so always good to have some handy).
STARTS ON FIRST PULL. I'm selling b/c I live on a slope and need self-propelling mower
