As the leaders in turbine innovation, MTT has produced the ultimate in high performance machines: the MTT Turbine SUPERBIKE. The critically acclaimed SUPERBIKE is the world's first turbine powered street legal motorcycle in its class, and has been recognized by Guinness World Records as the "Most Powerful Motorcycle Ever to Enter Series Production" and the "Most Expensive Production Motorcycle". Powered by a Rolls Royce Allison gas turbine engine, the SUPERBIKE has demonstrated over 300 hp and 425 ft/lbs of torque on the Dyno Jet 200, and has been clocked at a record-breaking 227 mph.

Representing the latest in engineering technology, the bike features carbon fiber fairings, a rear
mounted camera with LCD color display, forward-
and rear-looking radar detector with laser scrambler, one touch "Smart Start" ignition, and more. The
MTT Turbine SUPERBIKE is starring in the Warner Brothers movie "TORQUE", and Men's Journal lists
the bike as one the most "awe-inspiring, innovative, and otherwise amazing designs" in their feature
article "Perfect Stuff". With production limited
to five per year, it's no wonder the
SUPERBIKE has become a revolution.

When I was in vegas a few years ago at the nace/sema show. There was a turbine powered bike there that belonged to jay leno. The person in the booth actually let me sit on it.. yeah I know...whoopty..lol.. anyways, it was a bad ass bike to say the least.. According to this guy Jay rode it once and it scared the hell out of him and that was it. It went in to his garage and there it sat.

I'd expect a $150 Grand turbine powered motorcycle to take off and land like a Harrier!

I heard it's so hot out the exhaust that it'll melt bumpers of cars that are too close at stop lights.

Last year's Moto GP Ducs came close to that speed. :ride:
However, they cost over a mil each to make.
More than I make in a month......

In an interview a few years ago Jay said that it was very fast once you got the speed up but the turbine lag was terible; it would still accelerate a couple hundred feet after you got off the throttle.

Can you imagine trying to control the throttle out of a turn on a track.*

* yes, I know this is a purpose built straight line machine.

I read someplace that it does the Quarter mile in like a 10.50 and the half in around 12 flat.

turbine bikes like leno's the motor is surplus from a millatry chopper. this is a new R/R motor so i think response would be much tighter. if i were leno i'd get one.

I saw one of these in Phoenix a couple of years ago. Makes a wonderful noise, but is uglier than homemade sin. Looks kinda like a squashed frog from some angles to me.

It's fast, but as Leno pointed out, it's got terrible throttle response (according to riders--not me). The turbine takes a couple of seconds to react to what happens at the throttle, so cornering well or launching the bike quickly requires a little forethought. Probably too much thought for most.

Did anyone here but me think that Torque (mentioned in first post) was actually worse than Biker Boyz, if that were possible?

Torque was the worst movie EVER! Shame to anyone who even let them put in the forest chase scene. :impaired:

I used to joke that Torque was so bad, and the physics so inaccurate that it would make Biker Boyz look like an MSF training video.
