Off to the AMA Superbike in Sonoma California. What I think I will do is take my disk and post some pics if I got time at night. I know the hotel will have "high speed" internet so posting pics from the laptop should be easy.

The weather is going to be awesome, so California here we come!:whip:

This CBR 600RR Extreme Formula bike is for sale.........for a mere 20,000 dollars. I have a feeling its worth it after the incredible amount of sensors for feedback to the ECM and of course its only 290 something pounds.

great pics.... that's on thing I like about AMA superbike races.

At many tracks (without extra fees), you can walk about the pits to look close
up at the factory bikes.

It's amazing to walk around and see the likes of Kevin Schwanz and Mick
Doohan mingling about the crowd.

My wife had no idea at the time she was talking to Kenny Roberts.
She asked him all sorts of questions.

I really liked the Sonoma track from a spectator standpoint. The hill is a
great place to watch as the crest it heading for the chicane. Those bikes
get serious air!

Whohoo!

Yeah. In my WSB and MotoGP experience, I have found that the World Superbike was always more open to people running around the pits, and the AMA is the same. As long as your not being a total idiot then you have no problem getting where you want to go. On the other hand I noticed that MotoGP from 1997 to 2004 pretty much closed the pits and limited spectators to a "pitwalk". The last on was in Germany in 2003 and we were hearded though like sheep. I was not so impressed. Valencia would not allow anyone PERIOD in 2003! It used to be easy into the pits before 2001 but that changed.
The point I was trying to make was at least the motorcycle racing world with WSB and AMA is still pretty open when it comes to allowing people to still smell the race fuel and talk to the riders and teams on a personal basis. It just makes for a better way for everyone. You should have seen how popular "Air Jordan" anything has become on the track in Cali.

......Oh, and the wheelies and air were pretty extreme off the lip just before the braking point before the chircane.
