Just joined.. found a link to the site on CraigsList.
I've been riding for a while, started on a Honda Interceptor 250 then moved to an FZR 1000.
Currently I'm on a '04 Honda VT1100C which I'm eagerly looking to upgrade to a CBR1000RR or a Hayabusa...
Anyhow, just looking for advice, rides and to check out other peoples rides.
I'll be chatting/posting.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. If anyone has looked at my profile, you may have noticed that I don't exactly have a 'sports' bike. My intention in joining was to gather information andmake a decision about my next bike. I've been looking at CBR1000RR and the Hayabusa. The Hayabusa was my first choice with the CBR folling in close second.
I love my cruiser but I tell ya, there are too many times when I need to be that aggressive defensive driver and I miss the power and quickness of my FZR1000..
Anyhow, looks like I'm going to be getting a Hayabusa. I'm working out a deal with a guy for an '06 Limited Hayabusa... Hoping to get it today or tomorrow.. wish me luck!!

Good luck I used to have a 96 FZR 600 untill it went to a better place, RIP. Just remember that todays 1k's are alot fast and less forgiveing than yester years. Welcome to the site.

Wasn't meant to be....The right thing will come along when it's supposed too.
Welcome to the madness............It's OK you ride a non-sport, you can puddle around the back with us other "cruiser" (read slow) types. I follow to pick up the peices. :haha: J/K
What fun to be shopping! 3 year plan..........:yell:  :idunno:

Thanks...
It's heart breaking, its gut wrenching... it's shopping.. I hate it but when it succeeds its all about the ride.
Yeah, keeping up the rear. I know about that.. I went on a ride up to Couger, WA and had a few sports with me.. or at least I think I was riding with them, I was only with them for a short while. A Kawa and a Suzuki.. they pretty much left me in the dust.. but it was a great ride. Saw St Helens and it was beautiful. I'm ready to be up there and hitting those corners though..

Not sure if you saw this: http://www.oregonsportbike.com/forum/showthread.php?t=581
but it's still available. The ad says $7,800 but Karen indicated she thought he would take $7,200.

Just to let everyone know here's the situation:
I've sold my 2004 Honda Shadow Spirit VT1100C...
I was heading down to Eugene to check out that CBR that Summer4Ever posted and I couldn't make it down there. One thing after another.. but strange thing, it really seemed to work out just fine.. :)
And I've just purchased my 2006 Honda CBR 1000RR!!!
Took a short decent ride up Germantown - Skyline today :curvy-road:(west hills), very nice. I'm enjoying this ride. :7cycle: :rad: :rad:
I'll post some pics of my new ride and my new helmet that I had to get..
It still just KILLS me how much of a difference it makes.. the helmets. I got a new Shoei RF. You never know how loud your old helmet is until you get a new, and better I must add, helmet.
Anyhow, thanks for the words.. my ride rocks.. pics to come!!
