View Full Version : OMRRA memberships
Hey everybody, why not consider joining OMRRA as a member even if you're not going to race? This would give you voting rights which could affect having TOR on Saturday and Sunday along with who knows what you think should be changed to make the race weekends more fun and exciting. :rad:
I think the low cost of membership would be worth having a voice in the future of the OMRRA race format, and it would increase the numbers of us who can join the OMRRA forum and take issues there where they belong instead of the "flame wars" that go on regarding just about every damn little thing at the "other site." :crying:
Anything we can do to contribute to OMRRA's success will also effect the long term viability of track days for sport-bikes at PIR as well.
So whattaya say? Lets have an OMRRA membership drive.

What's the annual cost of the membership?

OMRRA general memberships are $30 a year. That is super cheap. Hell I will loan people money for that if they promise to pay me back within a month. I have to know you though, gotta know where you live. :naughty:

Why loan George? Is it a limited time frame to get a membership in or can you join anytime?
No, you can join anytime for $30, I just want to head off any lame excuses for not doing it. :help2:

As soon as I am working again I would love to be a member. I just never knew it was available to non-racers.
I have noticed so much I didn't know this or that about OMRRA or PIR in the last month that I thought it was about time we sport-bikers take a little personal time and start telling people stuff and stop assuming everybody knows. We need to support our sport.

Thank you! I think that's great.
So many "in the know" always assume that everyone else should know already or are not willing to help the naive to gain a better understanding.

 Good post George. After talking with your friend I am glad to see there is more interest in getting more modern sportbike riders signed up. OMRRA needs alot of support right now.

Wow, that's a lot cheaper than I thought. I'll join just to help out the organization, not that my $30 is going to save the farm... Every little bit helps though.

Yea, but if you tell every rider you know, and they tell every rider they know, etc, etc, hundreds of $30 bills will go a long way to taking our club into this new millenia.

I agree! I try to talk up OMRRA as much as I can. Word of mouth can go a looong way.

I've been an associate member for a few years.
Benefits are :
getting to vote on OMRRA rules changes,
the nice newsletter that Janice publishes,
get to attend the year-end banquet,
as has been said, you learn a lot about OMRRA,
and, if you have any new gear or other items, you can donate them for the banquet drawings/raffles.
