He's been dropped from the eligable participants list for this year's Isle of Man TT in favor of some currently popular superbike racers who've never participated in an Isle of Man TT.
This guy's a well-known rider from Northern California, son of the granddaddy of Marin County Highway One Cafe Racers, Bill Boyd.
Here's a link to an online petition that will be sent to the IOM race organising commitee once they've got enough signatures. (http://www.petitiononline.com/wadeboyd/petition.html)
Here's a link to the Bay Area Rider's forum where this started. (http://www.bayarearidersforum.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=200208) I'm signed on there as "Caponerd". I used to ride highway one when I lived there, and still make it down at least once a year. I've met both Wade Boyd, and his father Bill. Motorcycle enthusiasts to the core.
Please go and show some support for Wade, he's being treated unfairly, and given that it's the Isle of Man, we should consider him to be a local. After all, Northern California is only a day's ride South of us!
