Looking forward to seeing/meeting many of you out there. Last trackday, they started providing pretty good coffee and chair massages.
I gather part of the popular perception is Motocorsa trackdays are an all-Italian event. Nothing could be farther from the truth. While you may see a few more Ducs and Aprilias, the big 4 are represented in healthy numbers too (come one, come all). We have quite the cross-section of riders from newbies to OMRRA racers.

what is policy if it rains?
just being realistic,this is oregon

I'm unsure the official policy (I'm not a MC employee). I do know they run rain or shine. Give them a call tomorrow for their offical policy (503) 292 7488.

Does Motocorsa have seperate groups out on the track based on speed/skill level (A,B,C)? The reason I'm asking is because I was told by somebody that they didn't, it was a free-for-all with fast and slow riders out there at the same time. Maybe they are mistaken.
Are there classroom sessions for the C riders?

Yes, MC has A, B and C groups. C riders receive both classroom (morning) and on-track instruction/feedback. C riders have access to instructors ALL DAY. Group B are encouraged to seek instructors for any additional tips/instruction. IMO, B riders don't take advantage of this enough. Instructor/Marshalls are easy to identify. We all wear orange vests.

I hope to make one or two Motocorsa days like I did last year. :ride: (or more :rad:)
As for running rain or shine: They will run rain or shine, but if they don't have enough ppl sign up/show up they will cancel day of. That is what happened to me last year and I was pretty unhappy about that. Having riden up from Eugene, and riding to the track in the rain. :yell:
The thing that made it even worse, was that it turned into a beautiful sunny day about an hour later.:(
But even with that being said, Motocorsa is still a bad @$$ group of riders/organizers, and I like them:thumbup:

do they have a tire guy at the track day?
knowmad

There is usually at least one. Pirelli and sometimes Michelin reps.
i would love to do this track day but will be on the shores of Hawaii getting tan and drinking fruity drinks..

DISCLAIMER: I'm not an MC employee
Poison Ivy - I'm never happy when a trackday is cancelled either. I hear you loud and clear. When they cancel, I suspect they are trying to minimize their business losses.
In the PNW, weather is a pain in the arse and I'm sure it takes a bite out of trackday revenue. Of course, just wait 20 minutes and it will change. Unfortunately, they have to make the decision early to minimize losses and can't wait around until noon to open the track.
MC likes to have FUN, FUN, FUN. Everybody is bummed to pack it all up and go home especially the MC employees that come in and are there on their day 'off' (MC is closed Mondays and all their trackdays are on Mondays).

just curious, Since I am not an aggressive rider on the street, what's usually the pace during the session. I don't want to ride more than I'm capable of. In other words.. I'm kinda wimpy:laughing: :whip:

xqsme & orion - here's the secret. In 'C' class, we lead you around in the morning and sort you out between slow/medium paced riders and split you between the instructors. In the afternoon, if you haven't requested and been granted a bump to B, you basically get TONS of track to yourselves. On 4/30, we had approx 12 students. So in the afternoon, between marshalls, instructors and students, there were maybe 20 people on the entire track for session C. Plenty of room for you to figure it out and plenty of one on one if you request. As an comparison, B sessions have close to 40 on the track at a given time with a greater degree of varying skill levels.
Come on out and play. You'll get as much attention as you request.

If we run until 5PM again and lightning strikes twice, you'll have a LONG ending session to have a blast.
Looking forward to it. See you then!

All instructors/marshalls wear orange vests. I concentrate on C group, so B is secondary for me personally. There are plenty of ppl to help you out with anything you might want/need to make you experience more worthwhile.
I'd be happy to give you any tidbits I can or a lead/follow session if I have the time. Just look for the NO SPONSOR, virgin-white bodywork and yeller tank'd old school Mille.
