Nice bike B!

Look into getting the graves frame sliders... they are no-cut for our years (04 - 06), and look nice, plus easy to install.
The race baffles ($90) sounds great and are easy to install too if you want to save money till you can get a full system (which is the only way to go with these bikes).
If you need shorty stalk front marker lights, i have an extra set that are black with an amber lense, otherwise flush mount look killer even if you do actually lose most of the visibility lol. Puig is the ONLY way to go with the windscreen, other ones have been known not to fit well and have issues later on. For rear, get the integrated signals for like $80 on ebay.... dont get the circuit boards that you have to use your old OEM casing and replacing the internals... it sucks and leaves it ugly... get it pre-installed. Get rid of that nasty mudflap! Some cheap $15 fender elim kits (little bent piece of l-bracket with holes) work great for the license plate to be moved more towards the middle of the bike in the undertail... and you can get a license plate light from Here (http://www.tobefast.com/detail.aspx?ID=1022).

Definately get the suspension adjusted for ya asap... that made the most difference to me!

Dunno why im tellin ya this stuff... not like you arent seasoned... but im thrilled to have another R1 owner around!

Thanks for all the advice. I have most of what you said already picked out. Im getting the harris sliders, and already had the Puig picked out, I also want to get braided cables, and rearsets. I also have a cool undertail kit picked out. Exhaust will be a bit I think ,but I've been looking at the Leo Vince pipes . Right now I just want to get her on the road and that means tires, oil change and a battery so those are all getting ordered tomorrow so I hope to be able to put those on next weekend.. then vrooom....It sgreat to have another R1 my last one was a 01 so what a difference.. And I agree R1 owners must stick together..

Anything is better looking than a Suzuki. The Xusia is in a fiesty mood tonight as well (his flight was cancelled and he's stuck in an airport at the moment). :D

Howdy Brady.

That is one beautiful bike! Good choice.

I personally recommend safety wiring it up, changing the coolant, overriding
the switch, taking off the kickstand and yank off the signals.

Where you're going you don't need any mirrors!

Race bike!

Spend your dough on the suspension and lots of tires .

Congratulations!!

Damn nice ride Have fun with it!
All this talk about new R1 owners banding together has me felling lonely and left out of the fun with my "Soon to be departing faithful old R1" .
I surprised a few with the last puchase an R6 , So we'll have to see what pops up next .
